The race is a trail race with a distance of approx. 47 km and 2500 m  of altitude gain.

When? Where? How?


The start is saturday the 30th of July but it is a compulsory check-in on friday the 29th between 6 and 8 PM.

Haukeliseter Fjellstue is where you meet up on friday and also the finishpoint.

Early morning on saturday you'll get on the bus which will take you on a 90 min drive to the start close to Jonstøl.

The start is at 8 AM and you follow marked trails north to Haukeliseter.

Weather and cellphone coverage

The route is mainly without cellphone coverage. Being selfsupported is very important. The weather can change quickly and can be harsh.

Compulsory equipment

  • Wind- and waterproof  jacket
  • Wind- and waterproof pants
  • Longsleeve wool shirt (or similar base-layer), packed waterproof.
  • Hat, buff and gloves
  • Emergency foil blanket, 1.4m x 2m minimum
  • First aid kit and whistle
  • Head lamp
  • Cellphone, packed waterproof
  • Map and compass. Hovden Nord
  • Enough food and drink for the race

Equipment control: At check-in friday compulsory equipment will be checked. There will be random checks on the trail.

Private support along the route is not allowed.
